Email the Nebraska Outdoor Addict Announcments, Events, Etc.

I know I'm doing a crummy job of making a well rounded outdoor blog and could use your help.

If you know of an upcoming event that is outdoors or outdoors related send me a heads up. Pictures and jumplinks are a big help if you can. I only want free, super cheep or charitable events listed. I'm especially interested in:

Cycling, Hunting, Shooting, Fishing, Kids Events, Family Events, Annual Festivals, ATVs, Rodeos, Scavenger Hunts, Car, Air or Tractor Shows, Fireworks, Disk Golf, Scuba Diving, Metal Detecting, Geocaching, Kite Flying, Sand Castles, Cow Tipping, Archery, Boat Shows, RV Shows, Free Concerts, Bird Watching, Camping, Pumpkin Chunking, Swimming, Street Dances, Parades, Star Gazing, Road Rallies, Hiking, Outdoor Ice Skating, Biking, Snow Skiing, Sky Diving, Archeology, Etc. Etc.

I'd also appreciate your own first hand accounts of outdoor fun your having. Maybe you'd like to document something you've done, but don't care to start your own blog. Just email me about it and attach a picture or two. It's a great way to promote the sports you love and share your experience with others who enjoy the outdoors.

Nothing is too big or small. Send me a picture of your kids first fish. Or send a press release kit for a huge event. Just please don't send anything copyrighted, pirated, or copied off somewhere else without giving them credit. It may take a few days for me to post what I get. And all submissions are subject to my approval. Please, no hard feelings if your submission is not a good fit for this blog. Don't send anything that isn't rated "G" and safe for work.

  1. GPBC "Full Moon Ride" on Sunday, June 7. Four of us started at Peter Pan Park at 9 PM, and rode out the MoPac to Walton. It was fairly light at 9, but then got dark. No moon--it was overcast. We saw a few bunnies, and heard lots of young frogs in the pools of water here and there. It was slightly cool, and no wind--a lovely evening!! It had rained recently, and there a few wet spots near Walton--the NRD needs to put down some more limestone out there. A nice, relaxed ride--about 10-12 mph.
This is a monthly ride--every full moon. Come join us! Check out the Great Plains Bicycling Club website for date and time.
