This is huge! Holdrege St overpass is open.

After the cyclocross races I rode to the office and discovered that the new Holdrege St overpass is open! This connects the John Dietrich Trail to the Antelope Valley Trail. Taking it will eliminate over 8 blocks of riding on the streets during my work commute because the trails didn't connect until now.

Riding to the races and the office gave me 18.88 miles today on the Austro-Diamler.

Don't sit there like a bump on a log, ride your bike!

I made good time going to work this morning on the Felt, then cut through neighborhoods to meet up with the wife at the store after work. These November days with highs in the 70s shouldn't be wasted, just cause summer is over biking season is still in full bloom. Today's miles = 16.1

Sights on yesterday's commute.

As usual there were cars blocking the bike trails Then I was surprised to find a wild Turkey out for a morning walk on the John Dietrich trail. During the ride home the trails were filled not only with bikes, walkers, and roller bladers, but lots of runners. Yesterday's miles on the ride to work = 19.5

Steal a city tree and your holidays will stink.

I finally got the Felt out again after a couple of Thanksgiving weekends and deer season kept me mostly off it during the last couple of weeks.

It was great to get out again! KOLN/KGIN was reporting 18' this morning, but I was bundled up and there was no wind making it a sweet ride in.

This afternoon the wind was strong from the West but temps climbed up above 60'! I spotted these signs up in the parks warning would be pine snatchers that they've been sprayed and will stink up your home if you cut one down for the holidays.

Today's miles = 19.5
