Tonight was the Ride Of Silence in Lincoln and across the nation to pay tribute to cyclist who have been hit or killed. Our youngest and I joined up with over 50 other area bikers to be a small part of something bigger than ourselves or our Lincoln group as we joined thousands of cyclist across America to remember and remind motorists to watch their driving. It was a short ride amounting to 5.8 miles.

Fight Like Susan

As I post this Susan's funeral is underway. I'd like to direct your thoughts, hearts, prayers and wallets to her family and the fight against cancer. Susan is the wife of the Fat Cyclist.
The Fat Cyclist is one of the top three bike bloggers along with Up in Alaska and BSNYC, since Susan's diagnosis they have all helped raise awareness and money for cancer.

Cyclist dies when hit by car in Lincoln this morning.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those close to Myles Davis Jr.
Tragically he was struck and killed by a car on 23rd & Qst. around 6:00 this morning.

He was wearing a helmet and had a light. Don't come down too hard on the driver. We just both really need to watch out for each other. Don't let this deter you from riding! In fact, just the opposite, the more bikes that are out, the more drivers will be in the habit of watching. Ride defensively and obey all traffic laws. The more we all ride the safer we'll all be.
