Pup Red Fox!

I had a close encounter with a young red fox on the Homestead North of Prinston. Cool huh? We were really close to eachother!

The next stop on our senic tour:

The Prinston Ne. cemetery. Conveniently located adjacent to the Holmstead Bike Trail for any dummies attempting their first century.

Went on to Beatrice and ate some Arbys. Now, back tward Lincoln.

A day off to ride.

I decided to take today off to get some riding in I left about 6:15 this morning and now I'm in Cortland hunkerd down with a great breakfast. Got a nice tailwind that should die down as the day goes on, hopefully the forcast is right and I won't have to fight a strong wind on the way back.

Found 31 of these Las Vegas escort girls business/trading cards scattered on the Billy Wolff Trail. I picked them up and tossed them before some kid got more of a summer education than his parents bargained for.

Commute & Nacho Ride

Had a wet ride into work today and a nice spin back to the house with a quick detour to help Doc move after clocking out.

Then rode from home to the Nacho Ride. The Mopac was spongy, but didn't have water sitting or deep mud. The breeze was light and it was a peaceful way to spend the evening. Saw a couple turkeys, over 20 rabbits and had a very close encounter with a curious fawn.

At the OED I ate with a couple of cyclist and their wives who had drove out to meet them. Once I left Eagle I met 10 other Nacho Riders that had started biking later.

I rode back home with 50.97 miles under my belt for the day. Hope to see you on next weeks Nacho Ride!

Took the scenic route. But didn't look at everything.

Saw this t-shirt on the side of the trail. I know the economy is bad, but what's with everyone losing their shirts on the trail?

On the ride home I took the Superior St. Trail West then headed South before cutting through the Nearsouth Neighborhood. I saw a lot of people on bikes and even this guy with two. I thought it was really cool of him to bring his kids their bikes. It's a pain to walk two bikes like this and I'm sure his kids appreciated his extra effort. What a great dad.

You never know what you'll see when bike riding. The only thing I didn't see today was the girl that was tanning next to the Billy Wolff trail in a yellow bikini. Thankfully, since the wedding I never notice things like that. For safety's sake boys, keep both eyes on the trail!

Nacho Ride Tomorrow! Great for beginners or experienced cyclists.

The Nacho Ride is a very laid back fun social ride held every Tuesday. The first group leaves at 5:30 from the Mopac Trail Head off 84th St. just South of O St. No charge to ride. Don't need to be in any club or anything. Just show up and ride.

It's 10 miles to the One Eye'd Dog Saloon in Eagle. Order off the menu or enjoy the Nacho special or 75 cent Tacos.
